INDUSTRIAL ACTION SUSPENDED! PARTIES AGREE TO MEDIATION. CANZ Officials and Management Reps from CIE will discuss new proposals in relation to the expired CIE Collective Agreement at the Offices of the Mediation Service at Napier on Thursday 22 December. If the parties are able to reach agreement on a way forward, a new round of Ratification Meetings will be held in the New Year, which will include CANZ / CIE Members voting to either accept or reject the Muster Proposal that was recently brokered between CANZ and the Public Prison Service. In the interim, CANZ instructs all CANZ Members to cease the planned Industrial Action planned for Monday 19 December, that being the complete ban on working additional hours (overtime). All CANZ Members are requested to return to their normal work patterns. The planned Strike on Xmas Day by Hawkes Bay Catering Staff will be reviewed at a meeting at Hawkes Bay Prison following the Mediation Talks on Thursday. A further UPDATE will be published immediately following Thursdays meeting. Beven Hanlon |
