I am pleased to be able to inform you that the Department’s offer of settlement for a new CANZ/Intervention Services CEA has been unanimously endorsed by the membership. This means that those members who have: 1. Authorised CANZ, and The terms of settlement for the new agreement provide for backdating to 1 July 2004 and the new pay rates are applicable from that time. All employees who were covered by a CANZ collective prior to that date will pick up the grand parented conditions as described in the offer (redundancy, T/A, leave etc.) If you are an I.S. - employed CANZ member but did not vote, or you are not a CANZ member, but would like to be covered by the new agreement, simply phone CANZ Admin Officer Julz on ph. 06 3702563 and start picking up the benefits and protection of the Collective. The document will be signed in Wellington by your negotiating team in the next week or two and copies of the agreement will be available as soon as your employer is able to supply them.
