"Resounding Vote of Acceptance"

The national officers and executive of CANZ take this opportunity of expressing our appreciation for the significant turnout of members to our recent stopwork meetings, along with our thanks for the confidence that you have displayed in us by the overwhelming endorsement to the resolutions that were put at those meetings

The variation document has now been agreed upon by both parties and your local delegates and management should be engaging in discussions over implementation shortly.

We draw your attention to the following positive amendments to the variation:

  • The payment for Group 2 (other prison staff) has been revised upwards from $8 to $10 per shift
  • The payment will be paid for shifts worked, sick leave and bereavement leave
