It is with great pleasure that I get to send this out finally. We now have a document for you to vote on.

Basically this is a chance for you to vote to have this money or not have this money. This will be a national cumulative vote so the result will not be known until the last site has voted but an update will be posted as soon this has happened.

The long and the short of this is that the department of corrections have struck a deal with CANZ to pay our CIE members a muster allowance of $18.00 for Cooking instructors and Laundry instructors and $10.00 for everyone else.

This payment is per shift and worked out over your normal working week. E.g. HB forestry work 4x 10 hour shifts so they will be paid $12.50 per shift. If you do extra shifts you will be paid an extra allowance for that or any part thereof.

Attached is a list of the up coming road show. In the interests of getting this out so you can vote. We have broken the country into 4 and the National Officer will facilitate the meetings.
