The Union Negotiating Team met with PPS Management in Wellington today for informal talks to discuss non remuneration issues, bargaining protocols and time frames for the upcoming formal negotiations.

Non remuneration issues included legislative changes that have occurred since the last negotiation, the possible consolidation of bargaining other CANZ Collective Agreements, the use of VDU's and the inclusion of new facilities in the new collective agreement.

The Union tabled a Bargaining Protocol for the upcoming talks and received a favourable response from Management.

The parties have agreed to consider matters raised at todays meeting and to meet again infomally on 3 May to set the dates for the formal negotiations.

Further Negotiation Updates will follow at the conclusion of each meeeting.
