FURTHER NEGOTIATIONS

 

It has been confirmed that CANZ and the Departments representatives will meet for a further day of negotiations regarding the CANZ / PS Collective Agreement, in Wellington on Tuesday 6 May.

 

The CANZ negotiators are hoping for a positive response from the Department in respect to matters raised by CANZ at the discussions held in Auckland on 16 / 17 and 18 April

 

ACRP NEGOTIATIONS

 

CANZ and the Departments representatives will also continue  the ACRP Negotiations in Wellington next week, in an attempt to bring those negotiations to a satisfactory conclusion before proceeding to ratification.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY DISCUSSIONS

 

The CANZ negotiation Team will also meet with Department Representatives next week to discuss the renewal of the Health and Safety Agreement between the Union and the Department.

 

An UPDATE to CANZ Members on progress on all of the above matters will follow these meetings.

 

CTU TALKS REGARDING BARGAINING PROTOCOLS

 

CANZ has held informal discussions with CTU Officials regarding bargaining protocols between CANZ and the PSA in respect to the Prison Services Agreement, and the possibility of the CTU facilitating a meeting between CANZ and the PSA. CANZ has not received a response from the PSA regarding the CANZ initiative to hold facilitated discussions.
