Schedule of
Ratification Meetings
All CANZ Members covered by the CANZ / PS Collective Agreement are requested to attend the Ratification meeting to be held at each prison site.
This is an important
meeting to vote for the recent pay offer;
In summary the main
components of the offer are as follows:
- 3% pay increase backdated to 1 January
2008.
- A one off payment of $750.00 gross to
each person covered by the Collective Agreement
- A further pay increase of 3% from 1
January 2009.
- Term of the Agreement is 2 years from
1 January 2008.
- Public holidays
recognition for shift and rostered workers backdated to 1 Jan 2008.
- A commitment to recommence
negotiations at 1 August 2009.
There are a number of other
minor improvements that will be discussed at the meetings.
