CANZ – CEA Ratification Concluded

We are pleased to inform you that the CANZ CEA Ratification is now complete, 93% of all staff that voted have accepted the Departments offer.

The National Officers and Executive members thank all that participated in the road show, the Negotiating team met with National Office representatives on Tuesday 10th June to discuss the series of questions raised from the floor during ratification meetings.

The following questions were tabled by the CANZ representatives on your behalf.

· Decision on the back dating of new rates and one off payments being made in separate pay periods

· Date when these payments will be made

· Effective date when salaries will be adjusted to new rates and 'P' salary calculation introduced

· Date when back dated Statuary Holidays will be credited

· When will back dating of Acting Up payments (to new rates) for CO to SCO & SCO to PCO be made and will the introduction of the 5 day criteria for SCO to PCO apply

· Decision on payment of the one off payment to non represented staff

· Will back dating of Employer contributions to the State Sector Retirement Scheme to 1st January be implemented at new salary rates

· Will backdating of Employer contributions for those members in the Kiwi Saver Scheme to 1st April be implemented at new rates

We will get back to you with the departments response to the questions raised as soon as we are able

CANZ representatives will be meeting with the Department again shortly to work through the memorandum of understanding, and the letter of intent.
